Clos de Vougeot’s Castle Clos de Vougeot’s Castle

In the XIIth century, the Citeaux's monks owned lands where they planted vineyard and built a wall all around it. In the hearth of this Clos de Vougeot, they erected a storeroom and a tankroom that protected four beautiful wine presses that we can still admire.

At the Renaissance, a new castle included these wine buildings. Nowadays restored, it is the headquarter of the “Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin.
