A short history...
According to the wish of Nicolas II Boucherat, priest of Cîteaux, Saint Nicolas was founded in 1608 by 23 families coming from the East of France.
During a long time, these people worked hardly to transform the barren land into cereal and breeding prosperous fields for the monks of Cîteaux.
