A short history...
Overlooking the Meuzin’s valley, the fertile Chaux plateau is favourable of the culture of blackcurrant, raspberry, fruit trees, cereal, vineyard surrounding by forest.
Chaux, 390 m high, overlooks the neighbouring and offers a wonderful view on the Saone’s plain. Sometimes, we could even see the Mont-Blanc on the skyline.
Wizards, devil, fairies transform the history of the village into many legends.
During the 1870' war, French soldiers established their camp in Chaux, and many fights occurred in its forest.
